Throughout his career, he has worked with leading financial institutions in Ireland and internationally, combining deep industry knowledge with hands-on delivery experience. He is recognised for helping organisations navigate regulatory change, improve customer outcomes and unlock sustainable growth through practical, technology-enabled transformation. His approach focuses on translating strategic ambition into measurable business outcomes by aligning people, processes, technology and governance around clear objectives.
He has 20 years of experience across consulting and industry roles, having held senior positions with EY London. HSBC and another consultancy. His career has focused on helping financial services organisations design and implement large-scale transformation programmes that improve operational performance, strengthen customer experience and address evolving regulatory requirements.
At EY, Craig has led major transformation engagements across banking and payments, working directly with executive leadership teams to define strategic priorities, redesign operating models and deliver complex change programmes. He has worked extensively across retail banking, corporate and SME banking, payments, risk, operations, technology and data, helping organisations improve efficiency while supporting long-term growth objectives.
His experience includes leading industry-wide collaboration initiatives within the Irish financial services sector, delivering front-to-back credit transformation programmes, establishing governance and mobilisation frameworks for large-scale regulatory and risk initiatives, and driving significant operational cost reduction programmes. Prior to rejoining EY, Craig held senior transformation leadership roles at HSBC, where he delivered global operational improvement and digitisation programmes across multiple markets. He is particularly recognised for his ability to combine strategic thinking with delivery excellence, building high-performing teams and guiding complex organisations through periods of significant change.
Craig advises leading financial services organisations on large-scale transformation programmes, with particular expertise in banking and payments transformation, operating model design, regulatory change and digital transformation. He has extensive experience supporting clients in strategy execution, operational excellence, cost optimisation and process automation, as well as financial crime, customer due diligence and risk transformation initiatives.
Craig holds an MSc in International Business from University College Dublin and a BSc in Business and Politics from University College Cork. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Practitioner (LERC) and PRINCE2 Practitioner, with extensive expertise in business transformation, process improvement and project management.
