Shane Crawte is a Director in EY’s Aviation Finance practice, specialising in technical asset management, MRO operations, and digital systems implementation for lessors, MROs, and aviation finance and operations teams.

Shane has over 13 years of experience across the aviation sector, beginning his career as an aircraft engineer working on multiple helicopter types within rotary‑wing MROs, as well as fixed‑wing platforms. He later gained engine‑shop experience across several major engine families, building broad technical exposure. This foundation gives him strong on‑the‑metal experience, combined with financial acumen, to support clients globally.

His achievements include leading aviation projects for lessors and MROs, supporting operational teams, contributing to mergers and acquisitions, delivering digital system implementations, and supporting organisation and change programmes across airlines, airports, and maintenance organisations. He is recognised for producing clear, actionable insights for finance, risk, technical and operational teams.

Outside of work, he enjoys engineering innovation, AI, and emerging technologies.
