About Aidan

Aidan Walsh is an EY international tax partner for over 20 years, specialising in financial services. He originally trained as a solicitor. He is accounting, tax, corporate treasury and legal qualified. His clients include some of the largest global financial institutions; banks, private equity, financial market participants, insurance companies and service providers. He is the author of numerous articles and technical chapters.  He is co-author of Global Tax Risk Management, published by Bloomsbury in the UK and sold to tax professionals in over 20 countries.

Aidan was a member of EY’s Global Governance Council and was the chair of the EY EMIEA FSO Partner Forum.  He was the head of the EY FSO tax department in Ireland for a number of years and a member of the EMEIA FSO tax leadership team. Aidan is a board director of a number of Irish registered charities and was also a director of a Central Bank of Ireland regulated global insurance company in Ireland.
